Bruno was born in Ivrea,
in the north of Italy.
He graduated with a BA in Communication’s Sciences
at the University of Turin
with a thesis project in Semiotics
on “Mulholland Drive” by David Lynch.
From 2006 to 2008 he worked in Advertising as Art Director for Bates, Red Cell and Grey Worldwide in Milan, Italy, where he discovered his interest for storytelling. Relocated to Los Angeles in 2008, he was recipient of the “Brett Ratner Grant “ and attended the One-Year Filmmaking Program at the New York Film Academy / Universal Studios. While at the NYFA, he wrote and directed several short films such as “LOVERS” (Finalist at Babelgum Online Film Festival, judged by Academy-Awards Nominee Spike Lee), “Have a Nice Day “, “As far as Diamonds”. In 2009, he was interviewed by Movie-Maker Magazine as the "Next Emerging Director". His works were selected and showcased in major art exhibitions and film festivals around the world: from The Venice Biennale, Italy, to The School of Visual Arts in New York, He’s primarily known for his 25 minutes medium-length film “The Day the Music Died”, an outstanding story inspired by the trailblazing music and tragic end of Buddy Holly, a modern-day depiction whose character seeks success in a contemporary, surreal Los Angeles.
Over the course of his career, Bruno directed more than 50 commercials and branded contents for prestigious American and International brands like Fiat Group, Diesel, American Apparel, Trussardi, Victoria’s Secret, Sergio Rossi, Guess, Tod’s Group, and made him one of the most creative voice in the Fashion Industry today. His accomplishments vary from art exhibitions appearances, such as “The New Vocabulary of Italian fashion” at The Triennale di Milano, Italy, with the film: “The Heartbreaking tale of Laurent and Larry Bourgeois” starring famous dancers duo Les Twins, to winning Best Director in 2014 at La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival with the branded content: “We’re All Made Here” Starring Nick Fouquet.
Today, Bruno is represented by Beverly Hills based Management Company Magnolia Entertainment for films and TV work. For commercials and branded contents he’s represented by multiple Production Companies and talent agencies around the world, such as LAB FILM & Content, Bounty Content and Bernstein & Andriulli for the USA market. Internationally, Hoben TV represents him for the UK and Asian market, while Indiana productions represents his commercial work in Italy.
He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, working on commercials, branded contents, digital series, and he’s now in development with Academy-Award Winning management and production company Anonymous Content on his new digital series’ “We’re All Made of Stars”, “Veniceland”, and the docu-series “The Life and Adventures of Nick Fouquet” based on the life and travels of Nick Fouquet.
